The 6th meeting of the SW FAB Council took place in ANAC, Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority, on 3rd of June of 2015. The meeting had the attendance of ANAC, Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority, Spanish General Direction Of Civil Aviation, and Portuguese and Spanish Air Forces. As an expert participation, it also had the attendance of NAV Portugal, Enaire and the Spanish Supervisory Authority (AESA).
Special attention was done to the post-analysis of the 1st SW FAB Stakeholder Consultation Forum (SCF) that took place the day before, with the participation of a wide kind of aeronautical partners. It was acknowledge the excellent contribution of our stakeholders for a better performance of the SW FAB initiative.
As a next step, and following the SCF suggestions, SW FAB Council will evaluate the opportunity to closely collaborate with interested stakeholders in the development of the operational projects with the main goal to better satisfy AO’s expectations and the quality of the service provided.
This 6th meeting allowed to approve the SW FAB Common Plan 2015-2019 where are identified the technical and operational projects being developed under the SW FAB initiative. As highly remarked by the Stakeholders, SW FAB projects go beyond the limits of the SW FAB airspace validating the strategy of the SW FAB to better improve the Europe-wide ATM environment.
The SW FAB Council highlighted the importance of the inter-FAB collaboration and will be reinforced the contacts with FABEC partners to improve the development and implementation of cross-border airspace projects between SW FAB and FABEC.
